The Butler's Blurb

ButlerHi Illawarra Rugby Followers and welcome to this week’s edition of “The Butler’s Blurb”.

What’s that you can smell I ask? It’s the smell of Illawarra Rugby Finals time which is now only one week away. First though we need to get through the final round of the competition where regardless of results in first grade we bid farewell to the 2015 seasons of Shoalhaven, Camden, Shamrocks, Bowral and Tech Waratahs. Camden still have their second grade performing strongly but for the others it’s over this weekend and the planning starts for them in how they can be still playing in September 2016.

The top three spots in first grade are now locked down. Congratulations to Avondale on another minor premiership. Now can they go on and actually win the premiership this year? University in second and Kiama in third have very strong claims in being there on Grand final day and both could take Avondale out of the running in week 1 and 2 of the finals series.
