The second installment of Judiciary hearings coming out of that extraordinary Round 3 match between Avondale and Shamrocks was played out this week. Shamrocks raised thirteen citings from the match against six Avondale players. Eleven citings were dismissed and not pursued. Two Avondale players were brought in to answer charges and were suspended, joining Shamrocks Kurt Davis who was previously suspended for two weeks for Referee abuse. Nua Alone was suspended for four weeks on a kneeing charge, while Andre Itula copped three weeks for a charging offence. The whole affair was very carefully and fully dealt with by the Judiciary with extensive use of Video evidence. Also out of this match Referees have been very clearly reminded that any contact with a players head must be acted upon. So players be warned.
