Shamrocks Romp Over Vikings

Shamrocks have continued their outstanding form with a comprehensive 52 – 7 win over Vikings at Ocean Park in Saturdays Round 8 Builders Club Premiership match. With halfback Rory Davis once again leading the way, the Rocks ran in eight tries, with wingman Cheyne Pike bagging three as the Rocks out enthused their cross town rivals.

In a match that lacked some intensity throughout, Shamrocks took a 12 – 0 lead after twenty minutes with tries to both wingers Maciu Guana and Cheyne Pike. Vikings managed to get back into the match with prop Joel Diggins running wide on the angle to score a powerful try ten minutes before the break. With the try converted by Tom Sawden, the halftime score of 12 – 7 to Shamrocks left Vikings with some hope of getting the points.
