Presidents Update

To all Camden Rugby Union Club and Members, Sponsors and Supporters,

I hope you are safe and well during these testing times.

Unfortunately yesterday afternoon the IDRU Board has had to inform all that the 2021 season for both seniors and juniors has been abandoned with the uncertainty around lockdown and the easing of restrictions.

I have attached below the notification from the IDRU I received yesterday.

Therefore there will be no access for rugby related actions to clubhouse, fields and surrounding areas has been extended to 11:59pm on Friday 28 August 2021 for the following - Club Members, Supporters, Parents, Senior and Junior Players, Golden Oldies, All Coaches and Managers and Chain Gang Volunteers.

If you wish to exercise at the club grounds please do so as per the NSW health Covid19 regulations and guidelines https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules

In positive news the coaches and committee have been busy laying the foundations for a return to Wire lane once the restrictions allow us to do so and we are ready to open the venue for people to get together and enjoy each other’s company.

We will keep you all posted on the updates as they come to hand.

What’s important now is to keep engaged, stay safe and look out for each other. We understand some of us may be feeling the impacts of the current lockdown more than others. We pride ourselves on our community and place our members wellbeing above all else -so please reach out if there is anything we can assist with even if just for a chat!

If you wish to attend Camden Rugby Park for any rugby or club matter, you must seek and get approval from the Camden Rugby Union Club Inc Committee, prior to you entering the site.

The safety and health of our players, members, parents, coaches, managers, sponsors and supporters will always be at the forefront of the Camden Rugby Union Club Inc Committee.

Thank you all for cooperating and helping us get through this current outbreak. We have not been through a lockdown like this before and we will overcome this together and emerge stronger on the other side.
