Camden Junior Rugby Academy

Camden Junior Rugby Academy

We’re delighted to announce that the Camden Rugby Academy will be running again in 2022, commencing Monday 31st October.

What is it?

The Camden Rugby Academy is an off-season development programme run for those players who want to improve their rugby fitness and rugby skills.

It’s a programme that features Strength and Conditioning work as well as rugby skills sessions from an experienced and varied group of rugby coaches including Shaun McCreedy, Michael Hayes, Shannon Fraser, Andrew Cleverly & Classic Wallabies.

The Strength and Conditioning component of the programme will be run on Monday nights (6:30pm-7:30pm), by Shorrocks Human Movement & Rehabilitation Services, in a series of sessions specifically designed for Camden Rugby by Exercise Physiologist & Sports Scientist, Dave Shorrocks. The programme will feature skills, strength and aerobic fitness work and guidance for the players. They will also be given homework!

The Rugby skills component of the Academy will be delivered on Friday afternoons from 6:30-7:30pm. We have secured an excellent line up of coaches to assist the players in developing their position specific and rugby generic skill sets. The coaches we have selected feature individuals who have experience at Wallaby, Current Wallaroo’s GPS School, Shute Shield, Waratahs, and Illawarra Junior Representative levels.

Who’s it for?

It’s open to all male and female players who will be playing from U10’s in 2023 to those that will be playing Senior Grade in 2023.

Where is it?

Camden Rugby Park, end of Wire Lane, Camden.

How much does it cost?

The cost for the Academy is $90 payable up front. All players who attend the Academy will receive $30 off their 2023 Camden season registration fee.
