Club Song & Poem
Song
I’ve got some friends who play rugby
They’re proud to wear the gold and black
The finest men God could ever send
He sent them and he doesn’t want them back
Oh yes we’re Camden Rugby
And we’ll do our best
Play from your hearts boys
Up and contest
Oh yes we’re Camden Rugby
And we’ll never give in
Stay in there, fight to win
Extended Song
I’ve got some friends who play rugby
They’re proud to wear the gold and black
The finest men God could ever send
He sent them and he doesn’t want them back
Saturdays were meant for playing rugby
Bugger mowing lawns and fixing taps
From the line we’ll cheer, sip an ice cold beer
What better way to spend the day than that
Oh yes we’re Camden Rugby
And we’ll do our best
Play from your hearts boys
Up and contest
Oh yes we’re Camden Rugby
And we’ll never give in
Stay in there, fight to win
The Realm of the Mighty Ram Poem
May the summers be short,
And the winters long
All that heat only makes me sad,
For there’s something that we do ,in the wintertime,
That brings joy to the heart of this lad.
As the first autumn leaves fall upon the ground,
As the first birds head to the south,
We will gather at the centre of the battle field,
And here we will make this vow.
With our hearts and our souls
We’ll repel every foe,
And we’ll stand erect and proud,
To wear the Black and the Gold.
As the mist rolls in and surrounds the flock,
The night air drops to a chill,
There’s a creature with a hunger for the taste of lamb,
And he moves in closer for the kill,
There’s a thud, and a scream, as the horn goes in,
And the enemy slumps to the ground,
And the Ram strides back through the misty night,
And the Flock, remain safe and sound.
So remember lads, when you don the fleece,
There’s a vital job to be done,
Fo there are many who would seek to attack the flock,
And claim a victory is won,
So stand on your dig,
Prepare to fight,
Prepare to make a stand,
For stranger, your about to meet your fate,
When you enter the Realm of the Ram.
With our hearts and our souls,
We’ll repel every foe,
And we’ll stand erect and proud,
To wear the Black and the Gold.
