Camden has remained on top of the Illawarra club championship after winning two from their three games in their Round four clash with Wollongong’s Vikings side last Saturday.
Camden’s third XV stamped their intentions on the competition after wiping Vikings clean off the field in a 22 – 0 nil victory.

In a physical game which saw Camden camped in Vikings own red zone for several minutes saw a bullocking run from number 8 Adam Pierce to crash over.
The attack continued through the backline, Vikings’ defence leaking points in several places.
Camden’s ball security and impenetrable tryline second to none as Flankers Riley Cashman and Dan Campbell were outstanding in Camden’s victory.

Second grade’s reigning premiers asserted their dominance in 2010, the Rams continued their unbeaten run of wins bundling Vikings out of a victory.
Vikings opened the scoring with a penalty and was seen to build pressure, yet Camden’s ability to dominate defence proved why they were the 2009 champions.
An outstanding performance from flanker James Gatt has pushed his selection for a top grade berth scoring a try and being instrumental in Camden’s control of the breakdown.
And when the weather started to darken so too did Vikings’ chance of revival.
The Rams have yet to concede a try in second grade whilst their dominance in the scrum was strongly felt by Vikings.
Camden coming out on top 15 – 6 and deserved winners.

Camden’s first XV has conceded their first defeat of the season, going down 23 – 11 in an incredibly brutal and physical match up.
Camden kicked the first penalty yet threw their chances away when in the Vikings 22.
Dropped ball and continuing bad decisions allowed the Vikings to kick for field position and turn momentum into points.
It wasn’t all conventional tries for Wollongong, a box kick by Vikings’ scrumhalf along with a run away try  after a Camden drop ball put the nail in the coffin for the Rams.
A late try to the Rams from Josh Taliby wasn’t enough for Camden, Co- Coach Al LeGood attributing their loss to a missed chances.
“We just missed our opportunities, we’d make ground and defend well yet lose concentration and drop the ball or lose a line-out”. LeGood said.
Camden travel to Engadine next Saturday, first kick off at 3pm.
